In Snow White, the evil witch would be linked to Tenorio because they meant corruption. At first, the witch is superior and reigns as queen. Tenorio "aveng[ed] Ultima," because he had reason that Ultima cursed them(Anaya 256). However, Ultima never put a curse on his daughters. Snow White's stepmom admired her beauty from afar at first, byt then plotted to kill her. Therefore, the slyness, power and greed in the queen link to Tenorio.
In Transformers Megatron the evil robot trying to take over the world would be considered to be some what like Tenorio. They both show a sign of agression to certain things Megatron towards humanity and Tenorio towards Ultima. These two things they shar could link them towards each other. Some things though arn't similar towards each other for example, since that Megatron hates humanity he would have killed Tenorio since that he is a human. Besides that they are both commonly linked towards each other.
In The A Team, Hannibal Smith and his team were convicted of a crime they didn't commit, which could link to Ulitma. Like Hannibal, Ultima was wrongly convicted for something they didn't do. But in both cases the characters clear their names.
Lillian Cancino Period 4 In the movie To Kill A Mockingbird, Bob Ewell can be linked to Tenorio because they are both seen as "evil" and the both cause harm and death to an innocent person. Bob Ewell's false accusations led to Tom Robinson's death in To Kill A Mockingbird. Tenorio's evil and his insistance to harm Ultima eventually caused the death for both of them in Bless Me, Ultima.
Michael Brennan In star wars Yoda is the master of the force and is the best jedi. Yoda is similar to Ultima because the both use strong powers such as the force and the power of nature. "And that is what Ultima tried to teach [Antonio], that the tragic consequences of life can be overcome by the magical strength that resides in the human heart" (Anaya 249).
John Moore A actor i could relate to a character in Bless me, Ultima would be Shia labeauf in Transformers because he acts exactly like Tony trying to help and "protect" Optimus Prime.
Scout from To Kill A Mocking Bird could relate to Antonio in the way that they both begin as innocent children and the events that are forced upon them cause them to mature and gain wisdom. The way that Tom Robinson is accused of a raping Bob Ewell's daughter when he didn't hurt her and is accused and eventually killed links to Ultima death because she was accused of being a Bruja and killing a daughter of Tenorio.
In the movie water world there are only a few survivers, these survivers can chose on of two paths, stick with the group and live with faith or leave and live in a selfish and dangerouse way. living with the group there is alot of sacrafice regarding space, food, water, familie, and time; when your alone you have as much of everything you want but you have no protection or help with any problems yu might find yourself clashing with. Antonio has two option and with pickingone he loses some and with picking the other he loses some. Its all about what he wants to gain.
So I'm going to be an overachiever and list two allegorical figures. :D The Joker from "The Dark Knight" would represent Tenorio because both were always tring to kill people and in the end they ended up killing a person. Batman would be related to Ultima because both help and/or save people from death.
In X-Men, the mutants are discriminated against because they are different. This relates to Antonio when he was in first grade. On the first day of school, "the other boys and girls laughed and pointed at [him]" because of his family's traditional customs (Anaya 58). For instance, Antonio had "green chile wrapped in tortillas" while the "[they had] sandwiches which were made out of bread" (Anaya 58).
Abby Christopher Johnny Depp acts a Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean. Although people don’t accept him because he is a pirate, people don’t trust him. Jack Sparrow can be a little crazy at times, but he is still good at heart. Ultima is like Jack Sparrow because she too isn’t trusted. In fact, she was not trusted so much that “a mob” was after her to kill her (Anaya 132). Like Jack Sparrow, Ultima is a kind-hearted person that is misunderstood.
I would say tenorio is like that osborn guy in the spiderman movies. Ultima "kills" tenorio's daughters and peter parker aka spiderman "kills" goblin guy, goblin a ctually killed himself, and goblins son osborn Seeks revenge against spiderman
In the Lion King scar would be realted to Tenorio because both are trying to kill someone.Scar is trying to kill Mufasa and after trying and trying he finally ended up coming with an idea and killed him.
